There are six finalists for the 7th Ward aldermanic position on the Aurora City Council to replace the late Ald. Scheketa Hart-Burns. All six candidates came to this week's City Council meeting and spoke to the council. While Mayor Richard Irvin makes the appointment of the replacement, the City Council must approve it. Irvin said he planned to have a recommendation by this week, but because there were so many good candidates, he wanted the council and community to see the quality of the finalists.
