Ramp repair work is scheduled to begin Friday at the Route 31 interchange with Interstate 88 in North Aurora, with the work requiring weekend-long ramp closures with detours through September. No more than two ramps are scheduled to be closed at the same time, officials said. The weekend closures are necessary to create a safe work zone for repairs to the interchange ramps, Illinois Tollway officials said in a press release. Electronic message signs and construction signage will be put in place to alert drivers in advance of closures and detours, the release said.
