The Luminosity light festival Aurora officials are planning would be the first of its kind in Illinois. That was the word this week from Jenn Byrne, the city's Public Art coordinator, as she talked to City Council members during the Committee of the Whole meeting. The plan is to hold Luminosity from Sept. 6 though Oct. 5 beginning in 2024. 'It could become a regular event, depending on what kind of attendance we get,' Byrne said. Luminosity would follow in the footsteps of other cities which have done similar events that feature both static and interactive light displays.
