Expand The Aurora City Council is set to vote Tuesday on a $4.5 million restaurant-brewery project downtown. Aldermen placed the proposed redevelopment deal with CL Real Estate Development, a division of Peru, Illinois-based CL Enterprises, on the consent agenda for Tuesday's regular council meeting, meaning it is likely to be approved. The deal would bring a restaurant, brewery, event space and eventually a basement speakeasy to what is called the Vargas Building at 43 E. Galena Blvd., on the east bank of the Fox River looking west toward the Paramount Theatre.
