Aurora City Council members are set to vote on designating two city streets as federal urban routes, making them eligible for federal funding. The City Council will consider applying for the designation for Bilter Road, from Farnsworth Avenue to Eola Road on the northeast side of town, and for Eola Road, from Route 30 to Keating Drive on the far southeast side. The resolution from the city would support both roads as a Federal Aid Urban Route, which would make both of them eligible to use certain federally funded roadway programs, according to city staff.
