The merger moves Advocate Aurora Health's headquarters from the Midwest to Charlotte. Advocate Aurora CEO Jim Skogsbergh and Atrium CEO Eugene Woods will serve as co-CEOs for the first 18 months, after which Skogsbergh intends to retire. While Advocate Health will be based in Charlotte, Skogsbergh previously told Crain's that Advocate Aurora will maintain a strong organizational presence in Chicago and Milwaukee, and has plans to expand with a new institute for health equity in Milwaukee. Skogsbergh also previously said none of Advocate Aurora's employees will be relocated to Charlotte.
