Advocate Aurora Health's proposed transaction with Atrium Health attained a significant win Monday afternoon with a unanimous approval from an Illinois regulatory board. Securing the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board's approval 'brings us one step closer to coming together with Atrium Health,' said Advocate Aurora spokesman Adam Mesirow. 'We look forward to closing, which we anticipate before the end of the year,' Mesirow said. Advocate Aurora, which has co-headquarters in Milwaukee and suburban Chicago, and Atrium Health of North Carolina announced in May they agreed to combine their business under a joint operating agreement.
