Advocate Aurora Health Care took one step forward and one step back in its 2022 year-end financial results as the largest health care system in Wisconsin and Illinois continued to struggle with higher costs and flat revenue. Advocate Aurora's financial report to bondholders this week follows recent news that North Carolina-based Atrium Health posted a net loss of $1.06 billion in 2022 and an operating loss of $106 million. Advocate Aurora and Atrium closed on a joint-operating agreement in December 2022 to run the health care systems in the upper Midwest and the Southeast.
